Nominations Open for 2 Board of Directors Positions
May 26, 2010 - Starting May 27, 2010, the BSD Certification Group will be accepting nominations for two Board of Director positions. The last day for nominations will be June 26. Directors will be elected by a vote of the eligible BSDCG members shortly afterwards. The results will be publicly announced by the middle of July.
These positions are for one year terms, starting at the end of the election process. Directors are asked to participate in monthly meetings, and to help set the overall direction of the BSD Certification Group. The details are described in the BSDCG Bylaws.
Anyone from the general BSD community can be nominated, including individuals in interested organizations or companies. Anonymous nominations will be accepted, but please consider copying the nominee on the nomination email. A single nomination is sufficient to list the nominee in the election.
Membership in the BSDCG is welcome and encouraged, but not necessary, to submit a nomination or to be nominated. Directors must be members, so nominees who are not already members should be willing to join.
Please send nominations to nominations.
The non-voting Election Coordinator, James Lane, will acknowledge receipt of each nomination. Each nominee will be confirmed by email, so please include the nominee's email address in the nomination. The names of the confirmed nominees along with the number of nominations received by each will be published shortly after the close of nominations.
The current board is:
- Jim Brown (term expires July 14, 2010)

- Matt Olander (term expires June 1, 2012)
